Explore The Valley of Vinales

During your tour through the valley you’ll stop at the ‘Indian Cave’, discovered in 1920, where you can take a walk and then a motorboat trip through this amazing subterranean world. The well preserved colonial village of Vinales is also in the valley as is a huge mural painted on the side of a mountain by Cuban artist Leovigildo Gonzalez, a pupil of Mexican muralist Diego Rivera.

The next stop will be the ‘Palenque de los Cimarrones’, a secret hideaway used by runaway slaves who were fleeing their abusive masters back in colonial times. A highlight of the trip will be a visit to a tobacco curing barn where the magic of Cuban tobacco production takes place – you’ll receive a full explanation of the process and can even smoke a Cuban cigar if you wish!
