The perfect add-on to a multi-centre holiday, this package is customisable, allowing you to fish with us for one day, two weeks or more!

Fulfil your wildest angling ambitions in one of the world’s finest fly-fishing destinations. Made famous by Nobel Prize-winning author and keen fisherman, Ernest Hemingway, Cuba is deserving of its legendary status. A strictly-enforced conservationist policy means the island’s plethora of fish enjoy healthy, pristine habitats where they thrive. In fact, many experts say that Cuba offers some of the very best bonefish, permit and tarpon fishing in the world.

This will be catch-and-release fishing experience to help preserve the natural richness of the area. We offer two different fly-fishing spots, both in the Cienaga de Zapata National Park, a region famed for its biodiversity and for bordering the Bay of Pigs, where the USA’s failed 1961 invasion took place. You will be accompanied by an expert guide who knows these waters and its fish intimately. Each boat has a maximum capacity of one guide and two anglers. It will be equipped with cool box, seats, life jackets and communication equipment. You will be provided with a packed lunch including sandwiches, fruit and five drinks. No single day of fishing can last more than 8 hours. The session must be completed by 4:30 PM.

Rio Hatiguanico

The Hatiguanico River twists and turns through a particularly lush, very remote, area of the Zapata, rarely visited by tourists. Swift snapper, wily snook and powerful tarpon glide through the pristine freshwater, bordered by towering, verdant trees. It is a spring-fed coastal river, one of the most important in the country, and stretches as far as 30 feet (9.1 m) deep. The average tarpon here weighs around 5-25 pounds, though 60 to 80-pound tarpon are not uncommon.

You will ride in a 4 Bass Tracker Pro 160 with 40 and 50 ELPT Mercury Motor.

Salinas de Brito

Closed to all angling for a generation, Las Salinas has recently opened as a paradisiacal fly-fishing destination. The number that can fish this network of saltwater lagoons and channels is still strictly regulated to preserve its richness. The clear blue water has an average depth of one foot (0.3 m), ideal for wading, and plays host to big bonefish, big permit, barracuda, red snappers and crevalle jack. This gorgeous protected reserve is also one of Cuba’s best birding spots, so don't forget to look up!
