Nostalgicar: A Ride Back to the 1950s

  • Overview

Drive back in time with a visit to Nostalgicar workshop, a family-run business that breathes life into old, abandoned cars. Founder Julio’s father worked at General Motors in the 1950s and the entire family shares a passion for vintage cars. Julio’s hard work and exquisite craftsmanship meant that one of his restored gems was selected as the very car that Michelle Obama would ride during her trip to Cuba – but it was his Cuban charm and warmth that landed him an invite to the White House! At Nostalgicar garage, Julio will give you an exclusive insight into the process of restoring these old gems, taking you behind the scenes and passing on his father’s precious teachings. Discover the history of Chevrolet reparation, learning about the process of furniture design, mechanic systems, panel beating, and the art of car painting. Take a peek at Julio’s passion projects before hopping into a fully-restored beauty to cruise the streets of Havana in style. Your English-speaking driver will guide you through the 500-year old city before dropping you off at your destination of choice. This is an experience that car aficionados won’t want to miss!
