Thomas Cook Ceases Trading. Essential Information for our clients

Following the sad demise of the Thomas Cook group as announced in the early hours of this morning we ask for your patience and understanding at this difficult time.

We are receiving a high volume of calls from our clients and our priority at this moment in time is our clients currently in Cuba and their repatriation back to the UK and those departing within the next week.

If you booked your holiday with a departure date later than within the next 7 days then please bear with us, we will get in touch as soon as possible to offer you alternative arrangements. Our priority is to ensure your travel plans are affected as little as possible

Rest assured we have solutions and protocols in place to deal with this kind of situation and will get in touch as soon as we can with regard to your own holiday and will regularly post updates upon our website with any further information.

Passengers already in Cuba who flew with Thomas Cook

If you are currently abroad and your flight was with Thomas Cook, the CAA are providing new flights to return you to the UK. These repatriation flights will only be operating for the next two weeks (until 6 October 2019). After this date you will have to make your own travel arrangements. If you find yourself staying in Cuba after that date, our reps will get in touch soon to discuss your options and offer you solutions.

Travellers booked to fly to Cuba with Thomas Cook between 24th September and 10th October 2019 by Cuba Direct. 

Cuba Direct clients travelling imminently to Cuba will be contacted as soon as possible by your travel consultant to discuss alternative flight arrangements.

 

Cuba Direct clients going on holidays to Cuba and booked with Thomas Cook airlines, travelling on or after 1st of November 2019

For clients booked to fly to Cuba after 1st November and into 2020 are kindly asked to bear with us as we deal with high volume of calls from clients in Cuba or travelling in the next week. 

We will get in touch as soon as possible to offer you alternative arrangements. Our priority is to ensure your travel plans are affected as little as possible. 

Since only your flight with Thomas Cook is affected, the solution we can provide is to find you an alternative flight for your travel dates, or to re-book your holiday for a later date.

We read in disbelieve the sad news that Thomas Cook had ceased trading. Thomas Cook’s contribution to promoting Cuba, and making the Caribbean island accessible to British holidaymakers, specially the hugely popular eastern Cuba destinations of Cayo Coco, Guardalavaca, and Cayo Coco will not be easily replaced. 

We are really saddened so many travellers to Cuba are seeing their holidays disrupted, and our thoughts are with the thousands of Thomas Cook employees affected by the collapse of the Package Holidays giant.
