The Caribbean that Unites Us
International Coloquium
29th Caribbean Festival
Dedicated to the culture of Pernambuco and Curacao
The Casa del Caribe, the Ministry of Culture and the International Commitee for the Caribbean Festivals are convening the 30th Caribbean Festival to be held in Santiago de Cuba on 3-9 July, 2010.
The Caribbean Festival is an academic and cultural space to reflect on our peoples' history and culture, and to bring together the rich heritage of our region. The Festival thus becomes an expresion of solidarity, diversity and friendship among the peoples for their right to be.
Consistent with such ideas the Casa del Caribe convenes the "The Caribbean that Unites Us" International Coloquium to be held in Santiago de Cuba on 3-7 July, 2010.
The topics of the Colloqium are:

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
The programme will include lectures, plenary sessions, discussion panels, oral presentations and posters.
PAPER PRESENTATION
The proposals for academic participation should include a one-page abstract. The organizing committee will notify the acceptance of the papers to their respective authors. The paper admission deadline is May 15, 2010.
WORKING LANGUAGES
The official language of the colloqium is Spanish. The organizing committee should be notified of any need for translation services.
AUDIOVISUAL AIDS
The participants should inform the organizing committee about their need for audiovisual aids, specifying the technical requirements of same.
